Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- Scientific research units in North Hwanghae Province in the DPRK are making scientific researces into regional economic development and improvement of the people's living standard.

Scientists and technicians in the manufactory of high-tech goods of the provincial science and technology commission and the provincial industrial technology institute are stepping up the researches into establishing new production lines and manufacturing important equipment at the Jongbangsan General Foodstuff Factory, the Sariwon Tannery, etc.

The Yonthan and Hwangju county committees of science and technology have established the food production cycle of farming and animal husbandry on a higher level and directed big efforts to boosting the production of finishing building materials urgently needed for rural construction.

Technicians in Songrim City and Suan County are providing a practical guarantee for putting mushroom production on a scientific, intensive and industrial basis and establishing an efficient production and management system at small- and medium-sized power stations.
