Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- The power transmission and distribution sector in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK concentrates efforts and means on ensuring the stability of the electric power system to cope with disastrous weather.

The provincial power transmission and distribution station has set up a regular control and report system of electric power system among cities and counties and taken practical measures to promptly repair and removal dangerous places.

The Chongjin City Power Transmission and Distribution Station replaced the overhead earth wires for power transmission lines extending tens of kilometers and the old switchboards with digital ones in a short span of time.

Technicians and workers of the Hoeryong City Power Transmission and Distribution Station have established a new power management system for putting the standard of power consumption and its implementation and zone statistics of all units in the city on an IT basis, thus supplying and controlling electricity more rationally.

The power transmission and distribution stations in Onsong, Hwadae and Kyongsong counties are intensifying the monitoring of power transmission lines, replacing defective breakers, disconnecting switches, insulators and power transmission lines and steadily reinforcing the electric-light poles to ensure the stability of electric power equipment.
