Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- A meeting for reviewing the socialist emulation drive in the power transmission and distribution sector of the DPRK took place under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea on November 14.

During the emulation drive, technical innovation goals were attained to create a lot of electricity reserves.

Officials and workers in the power transmission and distribution sector of Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces have made progress in putting the power management on a modern and IT basis of higher level and raising the stability and efficiency of the system.

Pyongyang Municipality, North and South Hwanghae provinces and other regions have increased the power factor by applying advanced technology and updated the performance of equipment while pushing ahead with the construction of substations.
