Pyongyang, January 6 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the forestry sector of the DPRK have produced more than 10 000 cubic meters of timber in the new year.

The Hwaphyong Forestry Station under the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau has actively created favorable conditions for production and strengthened workteam cooperation to increase the amount of logging per unit time and the Kanggye Mine Timber Production Station has properly selected forests and introduced efficient working methods to produce a lot of timber.

The Toan Forestry Station and the Sinhung Mine Timber Production Station under the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau have increased the proportion of mechanization of work and carried out their daily quotas through various mass movements.

Yonsang and Yuson forestry stations under the North Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau are ensuring proper process-by-process engagement and raising the operation rate of vehicles to carry timber in good time.

The timber production continues to increase thanks to the patriotism and devoted efforts of the officials and workers in the forestry sector. -0-
