Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK has turned the technical innovation movement into the one of the masses themselves.

The complex is directing primary efforts to introducing new technical innovation proposals and inventions while reinforcing the April 15 Technical Innovation Shock Brigade with competent technicians and skilled workers and encouraging them to solve the problems for improving the steel production and technical indices of heavy rails.

The complex has completed the overhaul of the UHP electric arc furnace with its own technical force in a short span of time and carried out the technical upgrading of some processes to shorten the steelmaking time.

It has introduced an advanced oxygen blowing technology capable of reducing fuel consumption while doing the work to train talents in practice and enlist the creative ingenuity of the masses. -0-
