Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un attended the Eighth Congress of the Korean Children's Union on June 6, 2017 and made a historic speech "Let KCU Members Become True Sons and Daughters, Young Revolutionaries, of the Socialist Country."

In his speech he advanced the ideas of developing the KCU into the eternal Kim Il Sung -Kim Jong Il children's union and preparing all its members to be true sons and daughters and children revolutionaries of the socialist country.

The KCU members have made more firmly preparations as able revolutionary talents with ample knowledge, high morality and strong body and reliable pillars shouldering the future of powerful Korea, bearing in mind the important speech made by Kim Jong Un as the guideline for their study and life.

Many KCU members across the country have proved successful in the quiz show and academic contests in the course of building up the tower of knowledge to become world-famous scientists and inventors on sunny campuses and won Our Classroom Literary Prize and become model readers.

The young patriots have briskly launched a do-good-thing movement and conducted activities for encouraging their parents who devote their efforts to the prosperity of the country.

Many schoolchildren were honored with Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize and Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize amid the daily-increased number of model KCU members.

This year alone, 95 KCU members were awarded the Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize and 104 KCU members the Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize.

The proud appearance of the KCU members growing up to be pillars of prosperous Korea under the care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un makes the people imagine the bright and rosy future of the country. -0-
