Establishment of Educational Aid System for Children with Disabilities Accelerated in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- The sector of education in the DPRK is pushing ahead with the work to draw up educational programmes for the disabled and reflect the educational contents necessary for the relevant subjects of the universities in the field of teacher training.

Teacher training colleges are conducting the work to supplement and implement relevant subjects in the curriculum so that graduates can take charge of education for the disabled in the future, and Kim Hyong Jik University of Education is also pushing ahead with the work to write various kinds of teaching materials related to the education of children with disabilities.

The research group involving teachers and researchers of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, the Academy of Pedagogical Science, the Central Teaching Institute and Jinhung Senior Middle School in Moranbong District intensify the research into establishing the system of training teachers and shaping the educational course for the education of children with disabilities. -0-
