Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- The appearance of new rural villages in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, has been renewed again.
Officials and working people in different districts and counties planted more than 10 000 trees of good species and ornamental value in those rural villages.
The Pyongyang municipal headquarters for rural construction has carried on the operation and guidance with the main emphasis on landscaping the whole residential quarters in combination of trees and turf.
And it selected garden trees and turf and directed efforts to introducing advanced greening technology in cooperation with technical groups of relevant units.
Officials and working people in Sunan District set an example in tree planting, and Rangnang and Samsok districts finished tree planting on a high level of quality.
Ryokpho, Mangyongdae and other districts, too, took measures to raise the survival rate of planted trees, while planting trees in consideration of the biological characteristics of species and regional climatic and soil conditions. -0-
