Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- Thanks to the devoted efforts of officials and working people in the agricultural sector and helpers, threshing has been conducted at the final stage in the DPRK.

Officials and agricultural workers in Haeju City and Ongjin and Yonan counties of South Hwanghae Province pushed ahead with rice harvesting and threshing while ensuring both speed and quality by making effective use of threshers.

Sariwon City and Yonthan and Kumchon counties of North Hwanghae Province have registered high records every day while carrying out the transport and storage of harvested grains in a responsible manner.

Tanchon City and Sinhung County of South Hamgyong Province secured spare parts by their own efforts and finished threshing while raising the operation rate of farm machines by enhancing the role of mobile repair teams composed of competent technicians and skilled workers.

Agricultural workers in Wonsan City and Anbyon and Thongchon counties of Kangwon Province took measures to prevent the decrease in yield and boosted the work efficiency per unit time by boosting the cooperation between shifts.

Similar successes have been witnessed in Pyongyang and Nampho municipalities and North Phyongan, South Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces. -0-
