Aesthetic Symposium in Field of Land and Environment Protection Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- The 2025 winter aesthetic symposium in the field of land and environment protection took place at the Sci-Tech Complex in the DPRK on Feb. 26.

Present there were Kim Kyong Jun, minister of Land and Environment Protection, and officials, scientists and teachers in the field of land and environment protection and relevant fields.

The participants watched a video on the theme of "Architectural aesthetic requirement of road design and construction".

Speeches were made by Kim Sang Ho, director of the Road Design Institute at the Road Guidance Bureau under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, Jang Il Jin, vice-director of the Construction Engineering Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Hun Hyok, a designer of the Pyongyang Road Design Institute, Ri Ki Hyon, director of an institute of Pyongyang University of Architecture, and Kim Chol, vice director of the North Hwanghae Provincial Land and Environmental Conservation Bureau.

They noted that successes have been made in the work to ensure the scientific accuracy and speed of designing and its aesthetic requirements by establishing a multidimensional designing system based on the modeling of road information and introduce the environment-friendly and advanced road construction method.

They expressed the will to fulfill their responsibility and duty in the work for bettering and managing the roads, the face of the country and an important yardstick showing the level of economic development and civilization, as befitting the appearance of a highly civilized socialist nation. -0-
