Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Officials and agricultural workers in Nampho Municipality of the DPRK are putting spurs to the preparations for next year's farming.

The municipal rural economy committee organized a demonstration to generalize the successes and experience gained in this year's farming and intensified the control and guidance over ploughing, farm machine repair, self-sufficing manure production and nursery-material securing.

Agricultural officials in the municipality and its districts and counties are pushing ahead with the production of organic compound fertilizer.

All farms in the municipality focus on securing more raw materials needed for the production of organic compound fertilizer.

In order to finish ploughing before the ground freeze, Chollima District has increased the number of tractors in operation and the drivers are carrying out their daily plans while ensuring the depth of ploughing.

Agricultural workers in Onchon County are securing enough farming materials and doing irrigation structure projects, repairs to ditches, repair and maintain of pumping equipment, etc.

Farms in Hanggu and Waudo districts have put their efforts into the repair and maintenance of farm machines and securing medium and small farm implements, while manuring and tending winter wheat to raise the winter-wheat winter-growing rate.

Farms in Kangso District and Ryonggang County have taken steps to take good care of draught oxen in winter while repairing the seed storehouses.
