Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Tuesday:

- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a message of thanks from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation.

- An editorial calls for keeping up the spirit of defending the country in the 1950s as an invincible weapon.

- DPRK Premier Kim Tok Hun made a field survey of the agricultural sector in South Hwanghae Province.

- A decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on awarding the Three-Revolution Red Flag to exemplary units was issued.

-Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to a centenarian living in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang Municipality.

- A ceremony for moving into new houses took place at the Yangji Farm, Songwon County, Jagang Province.

- On the occasion of June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism

Youth and students held a meeting to vow revenge upon the U.S. imperialists. An oratorical meeting of workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea took place and agricultural workers met with a woman who underwent and witnessed the brutal atrocities by the U.S. imperialists. A meeting of officials and members of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea was held to vow revenge upon the U.S. imperialists. An art exhibition on the theme of class education opened.

- Staff members of the Lao embassy here visited Chongryu Senior Middle School.

- An article discloses the moves of the U.S. imperialists, igniter of the Korean War.

- The Ukrainian puppet forces launched a terrorist attack on the peaceful inhabitants in the territory of Russia.

- A mass candlelight demonstration was staged in the puppet ROK to oppose the war drills and impeach the puppet Yoon Suk Yeol.

- Serbian and Croatian political parties held an internet joint seminar on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to Yugoslavia and the 60th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

- There were celebrations in different countries to mark the 60th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of work at the C.C., the WPK.

-Premier Kim Tok Hun sent a message of greeting to the prime minister of Laos.

- He received a message of greeting from his Lao counterpart.

- The DPRK foreign minister exchanged messages with the vice prime minister of Laos who doubles as foreign minister. -0-
