Agricultural Workers and Members of UAWK Meet to Vow Revenge on U.S. Imperialists

Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea held a meeting to vow revenge on the U.S. imperialists on the occasion of the June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism.

Present at the meeting held at the plaza of the Susan-ri House of Class Education on Tuesday were officials concerned, officials of the Central Committee of the UAWK and its officials and agricultural workers in Nampho Municipality.

A report was made at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

A reporter and speakers said that all the agricultural workers and members of the UAWK are full of resentment, recollecting again the thrice-cursed crimes committed by the U.S. imperialists who inflicted a war disaster on the Korean people who were full of enthusiasm for building a new peaceful society 75 years ago.

Many years have passed since the U.S. imperialists ignited the Korean war, but the June 25 remains an incurable wound of grudge in the mind of the Korean people, they said.

They called upon all the agricultural workers to cherish it as the sacred duty of citizens and the greatest patriotism to bolster up the country's defence capabilities, support the People's Army with sincerity and actively turn out in the socialist patriotic movement and revolutionary mass movement contributing to the prosperity and development of the country.

They called for learning from the fighting spirit and traits of the wartime patriotic peasants, who ensured increased food production despite the heavy rain of bullets and shells, and for increasing production and economizing to the maximum to glorify this significant year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea with high results in grain production.

Prior to the meeting, the participants looked round the Susan-ri House of Class Education. -0-
