Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Thaechon County, North Phyongan Province of the DPRK stocked Lake Thaechon with more than 10 000 young mandarin fish and over 100 000 fish for feed.

The Thaechon County Mandarin Fish Breeding Station bred mother mandarin fish in a scientific and technological way and introduced advanced artificial hatching technology to increase the hatching rate.

Officials and workers of the station improved the method of disinfecting eggs, increased the initial feed amount and provided favorable conditions for growth including ensuring water temperature and water quality, thus increasing the survival rate and weight of fry.

They are devoting their wisdom and enthusiasm to stocking the lake with fish, an essential preceding process in implementing the Workers' Party of Korea's fishing policy. -0-
