Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Wheat and barley harvest is being stepped up in the rural areas of the DPRK.

Anak, Unchon and Jaeryong counties of South Hwanghae Province finished wheat and barley harvest by rationally allocating the labor force and increasing the operational rate of farm machines.

Yonthan, Kumchon and Thosan counties of North Hwanghae Province completed the harvest of wheat and barley ahead of schedule and more than 120 farms wound up the harvest in the right time.

Farms in Sukchon, Mundok and Phyongwon counties of South Phyongan Province are harvesting ripen crops without delay.

Officials and agricultural workers in Pyongyang Municipality and North Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces are concentrating their efforts on threshing and storing the harvested crops while giving precedence to harvesting wheat and barley. -0-
