Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- Hundreds of senior middle school graduate students in Ryanggang Province of the DPRK have volunteered for military service at frontline posts.
All the graduate students of Rodong Senior Middle School in Hyesan City vowed to join the People's Army.
Those graduate students in Kim Jong Suk and Kim Hyong Jik counties expressed their determination to become defenders of the socialist system.
Those in Hyesan City, Taehongdan and Kapsan counties petitioned for military service at forefront border posts.
Students of Hyesan Middle School for Orphans and those in Samsu, Paekam and other counties are filled with the will to put on the military uniform of the revolution and spend their youth at the posts for national defence.
At the meetings held on the spots, war veterans and speakers handed over the national flags of the DPRK to the volunteers, asking them to glorify every moment of military service with merits.
Those volunteers in their speeches expressed their resolve to defend at posts for national defence the peace and security of the country from the enemy's aggression and challenge.
Teachers and students of alma maters gave bouquets and garlands to the volunteers and encouraged them. -0-
