Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The Kosan Combined Fruit Farm in Kosan County, Kangwon Province of the DPRK has a rich crop of fruits.

Thanks to the efforts of the agricultural workers at the farm who have manured and tended fruit trees since the beginning of the year, the orchards at the foot of Chol Pass were loaded with early-ripening fruits.

The Kosan Combined Fruit Farm is associated with the immortal feats of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who dedicated himself to providing the people with enough fruits.

One day in July 2014, Kim Jong Un visited the farm, where he said that Chairman Kim Jong Il wrote the first page in the history of the farm which was turned into the world's leading thriving orchards.

Kim Jong Un also called for writing all other glorious pages in the history of the farm year after year by transforming the farm into a world-class fruit producer and a paradise and producing more fruits for the people.

That day, he set a goal to be attained by the farm in the near future and taught how to increase fruit production.

True to his noble intention, the farm has consistently do the work to put fruit production on a scientific, intensive and modern basis, thereby contributing to bringing about an abundant harvest of fruits in recent years.

The farm increased the size and weight of every fruit by taking agro-technical measures in conformity with the changing weather conditions while pruning fruit trees and thinning fruits in the right time in a qualitative way in keeping with the nutritional requirements according to the growth periods of fruit trees.

The farm has produced apples, pears, peaches and other fruits and sent them to cities and counties of the province every year. -0-
