Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The Sopho Revolutionary Site is located in the suburb of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

It is the place where President Kim Il Sung put forward the strategic and tactical policies for the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and organized and led the struggle for implementing them while staying from December 27, 1950 to January 5, 1951. It is also the place where Chairman Kim Jong Il stayed from July 10 to September 21, 1950.

The President provided a brilliant victory of the third operation in the third stage of the war in the place.

He ratified more than 50 Cabinet decisions and Supreme Commander's order which are of important significance in bringing about victory in the war and organized and led all the affairs of the front and the rear.

He gave detailed instructions on the issues related with the war and the ways for their implementation and even on hygienic and anti-epidemic work as well as tasks facing the supply service sector of the People's Army.

During his stay in the place, the Chairman regarded it as a routine to listen to the news of the Supreme Headquarters through radio. When he heard the news that the People's Army liberated new areas, he used to find out all the liberated areas on the map and pasted red five-pointed stars on the areas with his younger sister.

Thanks to the ardent desire of the people to convey forever the exploits the President performed in winning victory in the war, the place has turned into the revolutionary site visited by many people. -0-
