Various Species of Animals Increase at Central Zoo in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Entering this year, seven species of animals, including two species of gift animals, brought forth more than 30 young at the Central Zoo in the DPRK.
The Asiatic black bear, a gift animal, brought forth several cubs after settling in the zoo 20-odd years ago. It produced one cub again on January 1.
The number of the Cavia porcellus has increased.
The hamadryas baboon and other animals, too, gave birth to their young.
The weight and length of the three young tigers (two females and one male) produced by a Korean tiger in November last year are about 7 kilograms and 60 centimeters on average.
