Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- DPRK player Kang Hyon Gyong proved successful at the 2025 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships.

In the women's 53kg category held on October 3 (local time), Kang Hyon Gyong lifted 93kg in snatch, 121kg in clean and jerk and 214kg in total and thus took the first place in snatch and in total respectively and the second place in clean and jerk.

Meanwhile, Pang Un Chol placed second in clean and jerk of the men's 60 kg category and third in total. -0-
