Ninth National Meeting of Women's Union Activists in Silkworm-Raising Movement Held

Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- The Ninth National Meeting of Women's Union Activists in Silkworm-Raising Movement was held at the Hall of Women on Nov. 26 and 27.

Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, made a report at the meeting.

The reporter stressed that the Ninth National Meeting of Women's Union Activists in Silkworm-Raising Movement serves as an occasion for demonstrating the might of the women's union and inspiring all the officials and members of the women's union to the patriotic cause for the victory of Korean-style socialism.

She referred to the successes made by the members of the women's union across the country in the course of vigorously conducting the silkworm-raising movement.

Then followed speeches.

Speakers said that they would launch an ideological offensive to give full play to the patriotic enthusiasm of the masses in the silkworm-raising movement and steadily create new records and norms by fully displaying the might of collectivism of helping and leading one another forward.

A letter of pledge to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

During the meeting there were a workshop on the ways for raising silkworms in a more scientific and technological way and exhibition and presentation on the successes and experience gained in the silkworm-raising movement.

Present there were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the women's union and the members of the women's union who set an example in the silkworm-raising movement. -0-
