Pyongyang, October 21 (KCNA) -- Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of various sectors in North and South Phyongan provinces.
Making rounds of farms in Taedong, Mundok, Sukchon, Jungsan and Phyongwon counties and Jongju City, the premier called upon the officials of the agricultural guidance organs and farms to conduct the operation and guidance over harvesting and immediate farming processes in a responsible manner and thus successfully conclude this year's farming.
He stressed the need to increase the proportion of mechanization of farm work to finish threshing in a timely and qualitative way and, at the same time, widely introduce farming methods whose advantages were proven in reality and thus achieve more remarkable successes in the next year's agricultural production, and pointed out the ways for encouraging stockbreeding at farms.
The premier visited the Anju 121 Paper Factory at which he said that the factory should steadily improve the quality indices of products by dint of science and technology and push ahead with the work for fully producing papers of different uses in a long-term and planned way.
Acquainting himself with the assembling of equipment which is newly being installed at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the operation of production processes, he called upon officials to conduct the command of the project more dynamically on the basis of scientific operation and design and direct efforts to technical management and equipment management to bring about innovations in fertilizer production.
The field consultative meetings discussed the practical issues for the relevant units to fully supply raw materials, fuel and materials needed for paper production and normalize the production of fertilizers and functional greenhouse films. -0-
