Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Efforts are made to reduce the loss of power at transmission and distribution units across the DPRK.

The Pyongyang Municipal Power Transmission and Distribution Station is directing efforts to increasing the capacity of transformers and ensuring the power factor of the electric power system on a high level.

The South Hamgyong Provincial Power Transmission and Distribution Station has carried on the project for arranging substations in the load center.

The South Phyongan Provincial Power Transmission and Distribution Station has settled sci-tech problems arising in reducing the loss of power in transmission by its own efforts and technology.

Similar work has been done at South Hwanghae and Kangwon provincial power transmission and distribution stations, too. -0-
