Successes Made in Rehabilitation of Flood-hit Areas of Jagang Province

Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- New dwelling houses are now taking shape in the flood-hit areas of Jagang Province of the DPRK.

The Pyongyang Municipal Regiment of Party Members built up the ranks of workers in charge of construction and supervision, enforced the system of taking charge of each block, and intensified the guidance and cooperation to build every structure in conformity with construction standards.

The South Phyongan provincial and the Kangwon provincial regiments of Party members introduced the experience of advanced units and applied effective methods of using formwork to complete the project at a high level in a short span of time while saving manpower and materials.

Similar successes are being achieved by the North Hwanghae provincial, the South Hamgyong provincial and the Jagang Provincial regiments of Party members.

Huichon and Songwon counties are ensuring both quality and speed in housing construction by building up the ranks of skilled workers and updating construction tools.

Wiwon, Junggang, Janggang and other counties, too, organized demonstration lectures, including interior and exterior plastering and installation of various door frames and electric wiring, so that all the builders know well the requirements of technical regulations and apply them to construction. -0-
