Pyongyang, January 16 (KCNA) -- Schools at all levels in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, are conducting brisk winter sports activities.

Hero Ryongchu Senior Middle School in Ryongsong District, which proved successful in the speed skating of national schoolchildren's games in the past, and Unha Senior Middle School and Ryongsong Primary School in Ryongsong District are teaching the knack of skating to the students through visual aids and videos.

Teachers of Songsin and Songhwa senior middle schools, Sadong Primary School and other schools in Sadong District are clearly explaining to students the issues arising in perfecting the basic skating movements in keeping with their preparedness.

Ice rinks in Central, Taedonggang and Rangnang districts are full of schoolchildren almost every day. They are training their bodies and minds, skating on the ice rinks.

Schools at all levels in Sunan and Samsok districts, too, are conducting various winter sports activities. -0-
