Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory Boosts Production

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory in the DPRK boosts production.

On November 13, 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the remodeled Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory and looked round various places of the factory with great satisfaction. He set forth the task to produce more tasty and nutritious foodstuffs and supply them to children, always mindful that normalization of production means keeping children amused.

Over the past nine years, the factory has introduced hundreds of sci-tech achievements into production and developed more than 130 kinds of new products in over 30 categories, thus making a great contribution to implementing the Party's childcare policy.

Workers and technicians of the factory manufactured and installed lots of equipment with their own efforts and technology and developed new methods of microbial test and ultra-high-temperature sterilization, thus bringing great progress in making children's foodstuffs tastier and further improving their hygienic safety.

Thus, more than 10 production processes, including the production of baby milk powder, were awarded the food safety management system certificates.

This year, too, the factory set a goal to extend the capacities of yoghurt production and cold storage by more than three times and newly manufactured tens of pieces of new equipment to lay a foundation for increasing the production of dairy products. -0-
