Millions of Tons of Ore Secured at Taehung Youth Hero Mine
Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- The Taehung Youth Hero Mine of the DPRK opened a wide avenue for increased production of minerals by successively conducting three rounds of blasting.
Two rounds of blasting were conducted at the underground face of the Muhak Branch Mine to lay an inexhaustible ore field, and the blasting of 50 000 cubic meters of earth was launched at the open-cast cutting site of the Pukdu Branch Mine on January 8 to secure 2.5 million tons of ore.
The workers of the Taehung Youth Hero Mine were convinced of attaining the goal for increased production ahead of schedule this year through the blasting of 30 000 cubic meters of earth and 50 000 cubic meters of earth at the underground face and open-cast cutting site. -0-
