Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- The Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea hosted a banquet at Okryu Restaurant here on May 20 in honor of the players and coaches who proved successful in international games.

Present there were officials in the sports field, those concerned, players and coaches of merit and others.

Vice-Premier Kim Myong Hun made a congratulatory speech.

He warmly congratulated the reliable sportspersons on winning the IBA Women's World Boxing Championships 2025, the 20th Asian Marathon Championships and the 2025 Asian Wrestling Championship and reporting the motherland on their successes.

He called on all the players and coaches to redouble their efforts with patriotism to make the national flag of the DPRK fly high in the sky of the world, and thus achieve good results in international games.

Pang Chol Mi in a reply speech expressed the will to continue putting spurs to training, and thus to add luster to the dignity and honor of the great state with gold medals. -0-
