Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- The general mobilization for land administration has been under way in spring and autumn every year in the DPRK in which regards land management as the patriotic work of lasting value and the work for providing the people with good living place.

Unsan County, North Phyongan Province, is in the van of the whole country in the land management.

Many people across the country are visiting the county to learn from its experience.

The place with frequent clouds and many mountains had been severely damaged by irregular landslides and flooding rivers.

But, the county has been turned into the place benefited from mountains and rivers.

In the county, the Tapsang Mother Tree Nursery and other tree nurseries were built, hundreds of hectares of forest was created and many mountains were turned into golden and treasure mountains.

The county carried out a river embankment project in 300 km-long sections, dug up 25 million cubic meters of earth from the river beds and conducted hundreds of thousands of square meters of masonry work to restore hundreds of hectares of land which had been lost by flood long ago. It also improved cold and damp soil and protected thousands of hectares of land.

It built nearly 20 kilometers of embankment which can be used as road and completed the anti-land-sliding project to cope with any flood in the area of Tapsang-ri.

North Phyongan Province witnessed much rain last year, but Unsan County was free from heavy rain and flood.

Officials and working people in the county have conducted effective forest and water conservation every year to turn their region into a more beautiful place good to live in. -0-
