Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- Today is a significant day marking the anniversary of the historic Agrarian Reform Law promulgated by President Kim Il Sung.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in an editorial says that the Korean peasants entered into a road of dramatic turn in their destiny to enjoy their worthwhile life as masters of land and the country under the benevolent care of the President 79 years ago.

The agrarian reform, which was carried out successfully under the wise guidance of the President, serves as an important occasion in liquidating for good and all the feudal relations of land ownership deep-rooted in the rural areas of the country and opening up a prelude to the development of the Korean-style rural communities, the editorial says, and goes on:

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il attached importance to the peasant and agricultural problems as the key problems arising in accomplishing the socialist cause and devoted themselves to the successful solution of the problems in the whole period of their revolutionary leadership.

It is the noble intention of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un to build a land of bliss to be envied by the world on the socialist land associated with the patriotic desire of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for building a powerful country.

Remarkable entities of rural rejuvenation have appeared as the agricultural and rural problems have been raised as the major agenda items and strong practical measures have been taken at the important Party meetings to discuss the country's crucial affairs. This stirring reality of the country is a precious fruition of the steadfast patriotic will of the respected General Secretary.

The victory of the historic cause of putting the country's agriculture on a steady track of development and bringing about a radical change in the countryside is sure to be come thanks to the wise leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea, the programme for the rural revolution in the new era and the noble loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm of the Party members and other working people.
