Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, more than 140 units in the DPRK won the Title of the Model Technical Innovation Unit (thrice and twice ones).

The construction workshop of the Kangdong Hydro-power Construction Complex won the Thrice Title of the Model Technical Innovation Unit. It has disseminated the advanced technical information and conducted technical study in an effective way through the operation of the sci-tech learning space, thus raising the technical knowledge and skills of the workers and encouraging them to take part in sci-tech activities.

The automation workshop No. 1 of the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and the hot-rolling workshop of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, too, received the Thrice Title of the Model Technical Innovation Unit. They made a digital turning speedometer for turbine and a digital measuring apparatus for waste gas temperature and invented technical innovation proposals conducive to putting the production of hot-rolled sheet and the operation of rolled goods production line on a normal footing.

Meanwhile, various units including the large-sized machine tool workshop of the Ryongsong Machine Complex, two workshops of the Sunchon Leather Shoes Factory, the Paechon Mine and the Youth Pit of the Ungok Coal Mine won the Twice Title of the Model Technical Innovation Unit. Among the units winning the Title of the Model Technical Innovation Unit are the Songsin Trolley Bus Station, the Nampho Medical Appliances Factory and pits Nos. 1 and 3 of the Myonghak Coal Mine. -0-
