Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- More than 50 young people in Kangwon Province of the DPRK volunteered to work at difficult and labor-consuming worksites called by the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Young people in the counties of Kimhwa, Phyonggang and Thongchon volunteered to work at raw material stations, keeping pace with the sacred footsteps of the respected fatherly Marshal
Young people in the city of Wonsan and the counties of Sepho and Anbyon volunteered to work at construction brigades with a resolve to fully display the spirit and mettle peculiar to the Korean youth in their worthwhile patriotic drive for opening up a great new history of rural rejuvenation and regional development.
Young people in the counties of Changdo, Phangyo and Kumgang also volunteered to work at posts of managing ridge ways and roads.
At the meeting attended by Kim Song Chol, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Kwang Chol, vice-chairman of the provincial people's committee, officials of the youth league, youth and students certificates were awarded to the volunteers and congratulatory addresses and speeches were made.
At the end of the meeting, a meeting with the young people performing labor feats at major construction sites took place.
Officials and young people warmly saw off the volunteers, presenting bouquets to them. -0-
