The book contains 37 works including speeches, talks and conclusions made by the President from November 1959 to February 1960.
In his works "On the Tasks of the Party Organizations in South Phyongan Province" and "On Improving the Work Methods of the County Party Organization in Accordance with the New Circumstances", he called upon the Party organizations to give definite precedence to political work and establish a firm system of collective guidance of the county Party committees so as to successfully conduct every work in the counties.
The work "On Some Immediate Tasks in Socialist Economic Construction" indicates the tasks and ways for dynamically conducting the all-people movement for increased production, economy and reserves, concentrating efforts on the main link in production and construction and for officials to carry out their daily, monthly and quarterly plans without fail by organizing the economic work scrupulously.
There are also works calling for accelerating mechanization in the agricultural sector, increasing wheat yields radically by irrigating wheat fields and spreading a plenty of quality compost to them and for increasing meat production by developing livestock farming and for solving problems arising in all fields of scientific research to suit the specific conditions of the country by thoroughly establishing the Juche orientation in these fields.
The book also contains works giving clear answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in various fields of the revolution and construction, including the issue for cadres to study hard to raise their political and theoretical level and the issue of taking good care of the living of the families of the war dead and of whose members were killed by the enemy. -0-
