Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- The Salt-making Machine Repair Plant in the DPRK fulfilled its yearly national economic plan ahead of schedule.

The factory has made more than 1 000 water pumps in a qualitative way by consolidating the production foundations, thus contributing to putting salt production on a mechanized and modern basis.

The workers and technicians solved technical problems while providing necessary equipment by themselves. They introduced the gravity die-casting method into melting work, saving manpower, time and electricity for processing casting and boosting production.

They also secured raw material, fuel, materials and spare parts and operated equipment at full capacity while conducting the campaigns in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them.

The plant is improving the production environment and updating the casting process on the basis of the successes and experience gained in carrying out its yearly plan. -0-
