Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- Thanks to the energetic leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea dynamically opening up a new era of comprehensive rejuvenation in which the ideal of the people comes true, modern regional-industry factories conducive to developing the regional economy and improving the regional people's living standards have appeared in Cholwon County of Kangwon Province, too, adding to the pride of the province which is changing and prospering day by day.

On Dec. 18, there took place an inauguration ceremony of the regional-industry factories in Cholwon County for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy.

Present there were O Su Yong, general advisor for the economic policy of the WPK Central Committee, officials and working people of Kangwon Province and Cholwon County, soldier-builders and employees of the regional-industry factories.

O Su Yong addressed the ceremony.

The speaker warmly congratulated the residents of the county on greeting the inauguration of the new factories, noting that regional-industry factories were successfully built in Cholwon County, too, at a time when valuable successes symbolizing the vigorous spirit and bright prospects of regional development are being achieved one after another.

He stressed that the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un put forward the policy of putting regional-industry factories on a more advanced level in terms of modernity, economic profitability and prospect than last year, and gave meticulous guidance to the whole course of construction.

Thanks to the perfect implementation of the Party's expanded and intensified policy for regional development, Cholwon County, too, will witness the appearance of better creations in the region and more civilized and beautiful life of its people, he said, calling upon the county officials to ensure that the residents of the county properly get the benefits of the Party and the state and to bring about remarkable successes in developing the regional economy and improving the people's standard of living.

Then Kim Hi Un, chief secretary of the Cholwon County Committee of the WPK, made a speech.

He said that all the new factories, built to demonstrate the eye-opening development of the new era when the regions are changing and prospering, are associated with the warm affection and love of the tender-hearted father who is making a ceaseless journey of love and devotion to bring happiness to the people.

He made a firm resolution to steadily expand production by directing primary efforts to the supply of raw and other materials for the regional-industry factories, given that the firm conditions for the improvement of people's life and development of the county's economy were provided, and thus prove in practice the validity and vitality of the WPK's policy on regional development.

Amid the enthusiastic applause and cheers, O Su Yong and owners of the new workplaces provided under the benevolence of the Party cut the inauguration tape.

Confetti was thrown and countless balloons rose up into the sky, adding to the joy of inauguration.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants went round the modern new factories with great pleasure.

Adding to the confidence in the future when the residents of the county will live a more civilized and happier life under the benevolence of the Party, a colorful art performance was given and the nocturnal sky over Cholwon County was alight with spectacular fireworks. -0-
