Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The West Sea Barrage Office in the DPRK is pushing ahead with the structure project in a planned way, while putting the water management on a more scientific basis and improving the traffic capacity of ships.

The office saves a lot of manpower and ensures the accuracy of water level control by operating the floodgate based on the automatic control system in a sci-tech way for the supply of agricultural and industrial water.

On the basis of observation data, it works out the plan for repair and carries it out in a foresighted way, while applying the program developed and introduced to evaluate the floodgates.

It also studied and introduced a practical protective device technology for protecting steel structures from sea water.

The operational workshop, which manages equipment and improves technical control as required by technical regulations, has conducted inspection of winch, gate of lock chamber, electric motor, etc. to ensure the safe traffic of ships.

Officials and working people in the management sector are contributing to the normal operation of the floodgate while repairing roads in a quantitative way. -0-
