Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Events were held by working people's organizations of the DPRK on Thursday to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Present there were officials of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) and the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK), officials concerned, workers and trade union members, agricultural workers and UAWK members.

Choe Jong Chol, vice-chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, made a report at the meeting of workers and trade union members held at the Central Hall of Workers and then speeches were made.

The reporter and speakers said that Kim Jong Un's assumption of the top post of the DPRK armed forces in accordance with the unanimous will and desire of all the people and service personnel of the Korean People's Army is the greatest fortune for the country and people and a great revolutionary event to be specially recorded in the army-building history of Juche.

They praised the undying feats of Kim Jong Un who has achieved the historic great cause of building a rich country with strong army while reliably defending the security of the country and happiness of the people.

Ri Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, made a report at the meeting of agricultural workers and UAWK members, held at the Wonhwa Farm in Phyongwon County, to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers stressed that Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the DPRK armed forces has successfully settled the issue of succession to the leadership of the revolutionary armed forces of weighty significance in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche and made it possible for the DPRK to demonstrate its dignity and might as the strongest military power and steadily carry forward the tradition of invincibility.

They vowed to fulfill their responsibilities and duties in the solemn struggle for bolstering up the national defence capability and ushering in a great new era of the socialist rural development, with the immutable faith that the future of the country is very rosy thanks to Kim Jong Un. -0-
