President Kim Il Sung, Founder of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung is the founder of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the father of socialist Korea.

After embarking on the road of revolution in his teens to liberate Korea from the Japanese imperialist aggressors, he led the anti-Japanese revolutionary war to victory and thus achieved the historic cause of national liberation.

He made tireless efforts to provide a genuine cradle of life where the people are enjoying happiness in the liberated country.

Proceeding from the character and duty of the Korean revolution after the liberation of Korea (August 15, 1945), he stressed the need to establish a democratic people's republic representing the interests of all the Korean people.

At the speech delivered at the Pyongyang Mass Rally of Welcome, he said that it was the time for the Korean people to pool their efforts to build a new, democratic Korea, calling on the public to make contributions to nation-building with strength, knowledge and money, thus arousing them to the building of a new country.

In the days of leading the preparations for the founding of the Republic, he guided the work to symbolically reflect well the demand and aspiration of the Korean people who want to have a genuine people's country and the character of the dignified independent and sovereign state in enacting the constitution, the name of the country, the national emblem, etc.

Thanks to his wise guidance, the birth of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was declared before the world on September 9, Juche 37 (1948).

The undying feats of Kim Il Sung who built a genuine people's country are shining forever along with the development of the dignified DPRK. -0-
