Mass Movement Brisk among Trade Union Organizations

Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Trade union organizations at all levels in the DPRK have provided reserves for increased production through a mass movement, contributing to the production growth.

The trade union committee of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex aroused its members to the mass movement for increased production of iron and steel and provided production sites with tens of tons of raw material reserves.

Workers and trade union members of the Sodusu Power Station provided a lot of repair tools to contribute to finishing the overhaul of generator by the appointed time.

More than 10 trade union members of the part processing shop at the Taedonggang Electric Appliances Factory manufactured a speed-control device for large drawing machine by themselves to contribute to boosting the production.

Trade union members of different units, including the Anju Pump Factory, the Anju Tractor Accessory Factory and the Haeju Tractor Accessory Factory, have displayed the spirit of devoting themselves to collecting idle materials and securing spare parts.

Trade union organizations in South Phyongan Province, including Kaechon City and Sukchon County, have turned the good-conduct movement into work of the masses themselves, thus contributing to the production of daily necessities with collected idle materials.

Trade union members in Ongjin and Kwail counties of South Hwanghae Province, too, collected a large amount of idle materials to contribute to producing consumer goods. -0-
