Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is pushing ahead with the production and transport of self-sufficing manure to turn all farm fields into fertile soil.

Millions of tons of manure were secured thanks to the high enthusiasm of agricultural officials and farmers in the province.

Officials in Jangyon and Anak counties have conducted the political work on farm fields and set personal examples to arouse the farmers to increasing the production of manure and transporting it.

Paechon, Yonan and Pongchon counties secured hundreds of thousands of tons of self-sufficing manure by raising the enthusiasm for socialist emulation to make good quality manure suited to the soil conditions in their regions.

Agricultural workers in Haeju City and Kangryong, Thaethan, Sinwon, Songhwa, Unchon and Unryul counties have produced much more manure than planned and piled up them on fields.

Jaeryong and Sinchon counties have mobilized all kinds of vehicles to transport manure to all farm fields in good time.

Pyoksong County is operating the compound microorganism fertilizer factory at full capacity and Chongdan County is boosting the production of compound microorganism fertilizer and slow-action granulated fertilizer. -0-
