Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The Onchon Tile Factory in the DPRK fulfilled its national economic plan for May ahead of schedule, and produced thousands of square meters of more tiles.

The officials of the factory developed valuable technical innovations and conducted technical innovation activities with the workers by pooling their creative wisdom. As a result, they remodeled an applicator.

The workers and technicians set a goal to upgrade the old tile production line which used a press and are solving problems arising in making a molding machine and a mixer by themselves.

The technological innovation has been devised to improve the performance of drying furnaces by utilizing waste heat and to introduce efficient thermal cycling system into the kiln.

The factory is also pushing ahead with the research to produce domestically the glaze material needed for the production of tiles, while exploring and tapping the locally available resources and directing efforts to recycling. -0-
