Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- More than 70 units in the DPRK have won the title of Model Technical Innovation Unit this year amid a dynamic drive for developing the country's economy and improving the people's living standards.

The Mangyongdae Aeguk Aluminum Sash Factory won the title of Thrice Model Technical Innovation Unit by further perfecting its integrated management information system and integrated automation system of melting and extrusion processes to put the production on a normal basis of higher level.

The Pyongyang Cast Iron Pipe Factory and the Hungnam Metal Factory made a big stride in updating production lines and equipment to gain the title of Twice Model Technical Innovation Unit.

Many units won the title of Model Technical Innovation Unit by solving the knotty problems arising in production by dint of science and technology while regarding it as a vital issue to strengthen their own technical forces. -0-
