Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers met with winners of the Communist Mother Honor Prize and meritorious women of socialist patriotism on March 6 on the occasion of the 115th March 8 International Women's Day.
Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers and union members in Pyongyang.
Speeches were made at the meeting by winners of the Communist Mother Honor Prize and meritorious women of socialist patriotism.
Hong Kum Ran, chief of the ten-day kindergarten at the Posok Farm in Unjon County, noted that she brought up five children to stand them at the post for national defence and has assisted the army for more than ten years.

Mun Kwang Nyo, a woman living in people's neighborhood unit No. 2, Phaeyop-ri, Anak County, said that she has over-fulfilled her grain production plan every year and made her four sons stand at the post for national defence, but the respected General Secretary
Choe Song Ok, a technical expert of the crop-raising workteam No. 4 at the Sinhung Farm in Kangnam County, noted that she had devoted herself to raising the grain yield on five hectares of low-yielding land over the past years and, in those days, was awarded the title of Labor Hero, the highest honour of citizens, and was honored with the title of meritorious person of socialist patriotism. She called upon all the agricultural workers to fully play their role as masters responsible for the country's granary.
