Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The earlier potato harvest has been finished in the main across the DPRK.

Farms in Hwangju, Unpha and Rinsan counties of North Hwanghae Province completed potato harvest earlier than last year by arranging manpower and organizing work according to the per-field yield.

Chongdan, Paechon and Anak counties of South Hwanghae Province introduced scientific germinating methods and ensured the number of seed potatoes per phyong. And they manured and cultivated the potatoes in conformity with the nutritional requirements of crops and the characteristics of strains to increase the output.

Mangyongdae and Sadong districts and Kangnam County in Pyongyang Municipality have allocated manpower rationally harvested potatoes in many fields every day.

Kaechon City, Sukchon and Yangdok counties and other cities and counties in South Phyongan Province have increased the operation rate of farm machines.

Agricultural workers in North Phyongan Province and Kaesong Municipality finished the potato harvest. -0-
