Trolley Buses, Bus Stops and Roads Remodeled in Hamhung City of DPRK

Pyongyang, January 15 (KCNA) -- South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK has modernized trolley buses, bus stops and roads in Hamhung City.

The province organized designing and construction forces with competent officials in order to carry out the projects for producing new trolley buses and remodeling bus stops and roads, and took practical measures while giving priority to the supply of equipment and materials.

Workers and technicians of the relevant units manufactured in a short span of time new trolley buses with improved internal environment which can run with less electricity by introducing advanced science and technology and rational working methods.

Officials and working people in the province and the city also further laid trolley bus lines, rebuilt dozens of bus stops, made decorative fences in the section extending more than 10 kilometers and paved the roads extending thousands of meters.

Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Hyon Chol, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, and officials concerned discussed the issues arising in ensuring the normal operation with priority to the convenience of citizens while going round the new trolley buses.

The trolley buses run along streets of the industrial city, adding its scenery and giving pleasure to citizens. -0-
