Pyongyang, December 15 (KCNA) -- Building-materials production units across the DPRK direct efforts to increasing the production of building materials in quality and quantity.

The Munchon Steel Works established a steel production line based on a tunnel reduction furnace and built a gas generator in close contact with relevant unit, thus providing a guarantee for normal production.

The Anbyon Ceramic Factory improved its tile production capacity and the Wonsan Glass Bottle Factory established new production lines for glass fiber and heat ray reflection glass to produce quality building materials.

The building materials institute in South Hamgyong Province manufactured water-permeable color paving blocks to contribute to the city beautification and building materials production units in Tanchon City and Sinhung and Toksong counties have produced processed serpentine products and sent them to rural housing construction sites.

The Phyongsong City Construction Brigade developed an alkali compound additive necessary for recycling raw materials to produce new-type green building materials. The new technology research dissemination center of the Tokchon City Science and Technology Commission developed inorganic foaming agent with industrial waste.

Similar successes have been made by the Sonbong District Construction Brigade in Rason Municipality, the Rason transportation exchange station and the Rason building stone station, too. -0-
