Meeting with War Veteran Held in Pyongyang

Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Youth and students in Pyongyang met with a war veteran on Feb. 5 to mark the 78th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army.

Young people presented bouquets to Choe Pyong Man, a war veteran, at the venue of the meeting.

He sent a militant salute to the proud and reliable young vanguard, reflecting the minds of war veterans.

He said that the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was the victory of the outstanding military ideas and extraordinary commanding art of President Kim Il Sung, the ever-victorious and iron-willed commander, and the victory won by the heroic spirit our army and people displayed in defending the country.

He told about with what readiness the young people in the wartime turned out in the struggle against the enemies who invaded the inviolable land of the country and how bravely they fought to defend the honor and dignity of the country.

Saying that Juche Korea's history and tradition of victory are being given steady continuity thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, he called upon the young people of the new generation to firmly defend the motherland and turn out in the building of a prosperous power by inheriting the noble spirit of the heroic soldiers.

Speakers at the meeting expressed their resolve to glorify their worthwhile youth with loyalty and patriotism, following the noble moral world of the victorious wartime generation.
