Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the forestry sector of the DPRK strive to glorify this year with increased timber production.

The branch forestry station of the Kilju Plywood Factory and the Sudong Mine Timber Production Station of the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau are making technical preparations for the installation of cableways and securing necessary materials and accessories.

The Kasan Mine Timber Production Station and the Rangnim Forestry Station of the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau, the Jangjin Forestry Station of the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau, the Sinyang Forestry Station of the North Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau and the Yonam Mine Timber Production Station of the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau are directing efforts to the production of sleepers and railway fixtures needed for enhancing the intensity of forestry railway.

The Millim Motor Saw Factory and many other units under the South Phyongan Provincial Forestry Management Bureau have striven to produce equipment and accessories by themselves.

Workers and technicians at the Hyesan Forestry Machine Factory under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau and the Manpho Forestry Machine Factory under the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau are stepping up the production and supply of wheels of forest railway locomotives and other parts of vehicles.

The Wiyon Wooden Ware Factory under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau and the Kilju Plywood Factory are pushing ahead with the work to increase the production capacity while supplying cement and steel needed for modernization and overhaul. -0-
