Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in the field of agriculture of the DPRK are introducing and generalizing the method of cultivating rice seedlings in greenhouses whose advantages have been proved in practice.

Farms in Pyongyang are pushing ahead with the introduction of the method of cultivating rice seedlings in greenhouses.

Farms in Mangyongdae District increased grain of more one ton per hectare last year by introducing the advanced rice-seedling cultivation method. They strive to introduce the cultivation method to more areas than last year.

Farms in different districts and counties including Rangnang, Sadong and Hyongjesan districts have completed the construction of greenhouses needed for seedling cultivation and taken practical measures to introduce the excellent method of seedling cultivation.

Paechon, Pyoksong and Anak counties in South Hwanghae Province and Hwangju and Pongsan counties of North Hwanghae Province have informed the agricultural workers of the superiority of the rice seedling cultivation method in greenhouse and stepped up the preparations.

Sinuiju City and Unjon County in North Phyongan Province and Sukchon and Unsan counties in South Phyongan Province have set model units and built standard greenhouses, giving precedence to treating rice seeds and making nurseries. -0-
