Passing-on-technique for Operation of Largest-scale Greenhouse Farm Underway

Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Amid the construction of the 450-hectare greenhouse farm and the vegetable science research centre on an islet in the northwestern frontier of the DPRK, a passing-on-technique for their operation is under way at the Kangdong Central Vegetable Research Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science and the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ensured that North Phyongan Province selected persons to be trained as technicians and skilled workers for the operation of the greenhouse farm and sent them to the institute and the complex to get the stepwise passing-on-technique.

North Phyongan Province made preparations for getting passing-on-technique.

Since the start of the passing-on-technique, researchers of the Kangdong Central Vegetable Research Institute have personally given lectures to transfer more ample knowledge to the trainees.

The Kangdong Greenhouse Complex, too, provides the trainees with conditions for consolidating their knowledge while seeing and practicing many things related to greenhouse vegetable cultivation at worksites.

The trainees are actively participating in theoretical education and field practice to learn more technical issues arising in all farming processes ranging from seed treatment to sowing, transplanting seedlings, manuring and cultivating and harvesting, giving importance to putting the vegetable production on a higher-level scientific basis.

Management officials involved in the trainee group, too, are learning advanced management methods and technical issues for production and management. -0-
